Students are required to give 50 hours of voluntary service during their four years at ECHS to meet graduation requirements. Thirty-five to forty-five hours must involve projects completed outside of school in the broader community, and five to fifteen hours must involve projects completed in school.
All completed projects must be properly documented and submitted to grade level deans during the year in which they are completed in order to receive credit. Freshmen, sophomores and juniors must complete a minimum of 15 FIA volunteer hours each year. Volunteer work completed the summer before a student enters ECHS can not be counted as FIA hours. All FIA hours must be completed by the end of the first semester of the senior year.

Faith in Action projects culminate with a service portfolio conference before peers and faculty members during the senior year. (Interested community members are welcome to attend.)
